Smoky Mountain Photos by Betty Shelton. Living in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for the past 25 years has given me ample time to photograph the intimate hollows, hills, and valley of these southern Appalachian Mountains. On several occasions, I have been published in BlueRidgeMagazine, MonroeLifeMagazine, have sold to advertising companies such as River Ridge Community and Crown Park Resort. I especially enjoy being a special events photographer for the Eastern band of Cherokee Indians.
But the past 25 years of photographing are not long enough. I am always searching for that new exciting photo when the lighting is just right, and the seasons are changing, and all is right with God's world. It is such a pleasure to be involved with nature, it is impossible not to become a naturalist.
All my images have been made with a 35mm camera, being slide or digital. All new images are digital made with high resolution.
